It’s Not Just About the Money
We get it — you can have the best-paying job in the world and still burn out. That’s why every month you hit your financial target, you earn 1 extra day of bankable “Bonus Leave” that stacks on top of your annual leave. Hit target 12 months running + your birthday off = up to 33 days leave per year. Take it as a block, tack it onto a holiday, or bank it — it’s yours.
Commission is paid monthly on the 15th of the following month — on every dollar billed, no holdbacks.

Our Surry Hills HQ — 480sqm of open-plan workspace in the heart of Sydney
The Surry Hills HQ spans 480 square metres across a single open-plan floor. It was designed to feel like a place people actually want to spend time in — not a corporate office with fluorescent lights and grey carpet. The office features a full-size pool table, a golf simulator, a dartboard, a stocked beer and wine fridge, and a kitchen area that doubles as the hub for Friday knock-offs, weekly team lunches, and impromptu celebrations. We even had a makeshift bowling lane during the fitout.
Team events are a regular part of life at HBG. Weekly team lunches happen most Fridays — sometimes cooking up in the office, sometimes heading out around Surry Hills. Friday afternoons wind down with drinks, and bigger milestones get proper recognition — Melbourne Cup day is a highlight, with the full team dressing up, sweepstakes running all morning, and the afternoon given over to celebration. Quarterly incentive trips have included the Hunter Valley this quarter, weekends away, team dinners at top restaurants, and activity days for top billers. We took the team to the NRL recently — it’s not all work.
The working week runs four days in the office and one day from home. Hours are a flexible 8am to 5pm. Every consultant receives a new MacBook and iPhone on their first day — no BYOD, no waiting period. HBG-branded utes are available for client meetings and site visits, and a centralised admin, compliance, and marketing team handles the back-office work so consultants can focus on billing.

This desk has a proven billing history of $200K per year and comes with five to eight live roles from day one. Clients are tier 2 building services contractors across NSW and VIC. You will recruit Project Managers, Estimators, Service Managers, and commissioning specialists. It is a niche market with high fees and strong repeat business — ideal for a recruiter who wants to build deep relationships in a specialised sector.
Tier 1 and 2 / Fitout / New Build
Project Managers, Site Managers, Contract Administrators, and Project Engineers on projects valued from $1M to $100M and above. The established client base spans NSW, VIC, and QLD, covering commercial new builds, retail fitouts, and office refurbishments. This is a high-value permanent recruitment desk with strong fee margins and national reach.
Multi-Res / High-Density
Covering multi-residential and high-density builds across NSW, VIC, and QLD. Roles include Project Managers, Contract Administrators, Estimators, and Site Managers. Australia’s housing pipeline means this desk has consistent demand and a growing client base. Ideal for someone who wants to specialise in one of the fastest-growing segments of the construction market.
Trades / Civil / Manufacturing / Warehousing
This is a high-volume, phone-heavy desk with massive upside. You will have access to 700+ signed clients and 7,000+ inducted candidates ready to deploy. The work is fast-paced business development — filling orders same-day, building contractor relationships, and growing margin through volume. Perfect for someone who thrives on pace and loves the grind of daily fills.
