Our Locations
Every HBG office is staffed with recruiters and coordinators who live and work in the local market. They understand the projects, the trades in demand, and the unique challenges of their region.
Our national headquarters occupies a 480-square-metre office on Level 2 at 11-17 Buckingham Street in Surry Hills — one of Sydney's most connected inner-city precincts, just a short walk from Central Station. The Sydney office is home to our executive leadership team, national accounts desk, finance and payroll departments, and our largest recruitment team. From here we service all of New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, covering everything from major commercial towers in the Sydney CBD to infrastructure mega-projects in Western Sydney, the Hunter Valley, and the Illawarra. The Sydney team coordinates with our other offices daily to ensure national clients receive consistent service no matter where their projects are located.
Located at 97 Creek Street in the Brisbane CBD, our Queensland office sits at the centre of one of Australia's fastest-growing construction markets. The Brisbane team services the entire South East Queensland corridor — from the Gold Coast through to the Sunshine Coast — as well as regional projects in Townsville, Cairns, and Central Queensland. With particular strength in civil infrastructure, road and bridge construction, and large-scale residential developments, the Brisbane office has built deep relationships with tier-one and tier-two contractors operating across the state. Queensland's ongoing pipeline of infrastructure investment, including Cross River Rail and the Brisbane 2032 Olympic preparations, makes this one of HBG's most active markets.
Our Melbourne office at 220 Collins Street places us in the heart of the Victorian capital's commercial district. The Melbourne team has built a growing presence in the Victorian market, servicing commercial construction, fit-out projects, manufacturing facilities, and logistics operations across metropolitan Melbourne and regional centres including Geelong, Ballarat, and Bendigo. With Victoria's significant investment in transport infrastructure — including the Suburban Rail Loop and the West Gate Tunnel — the Melbourne office is well positioned to support contractors working on some of the state's largest projects. The team also services a strong manufacturing and warehousing sector in Melbourne's western and northern suburbs.
Situated at 37 Barrack Street in the Perth CBD, our Western Australian office is HBG's gateway to the mining and resources sector. The Perth team services metropolitan construction and civil projects while also coordinating fly-in-fly-out placements across the Pilbara, Goldfields, and Mid West regions. Western Australia's resource-driven economy creates strong demand for skilled tradespeople, machine operators, and maintenance personnel — and our Perth recruiters have deep networks across the mining services supply chain. The office also supports a growing commercial construction market in Perth's expanding suburbs and the Metronet rail infrastructure program.
Our Quay Street office on the Auckland waterfront handles all of HBG's New Zealand operations. The Auckland team specialises in engineering, manufacturing, and construction recruitment, servicing projects across the North Island and increasingly across the South Island as well. New Zealand's construction sector is experiencing sustained growth driven by housing demand, infrastructure renewal, and commercial development in Auckland and Wellington. The Auckland office connects New Zealand talent with local opportunities while also facilitating trans-Tasman placements for workers seeking roles in Australia, and vice versa.
Why It Matters
For businesses operating across multiple states, working with a single national provider eliminates the complexity of managing separate suppliers in each location.
Consolidate your labour hire and recruitment spend under a single agreement. No need to negotiate separate contracts, rate cards, or service terms in every state. One master agreement covers all locations, simplifying your procurement process and reducing administrative overhead.
Every HBG office operates under the same quality framework, safety induction process, and compliance standards. Whether you are hiring workers in Sydney or Perth, the experience is the same — the same vetting process, the same onboarding documentation, and the same commitment to getting the right people on site.
National clients are assigned a dedicated account manager who coordinates across all offices on your behalf. You make one call, and your account manager handles the rest — liaising with local teams, tracking worker performance, and providing consolidated reporting across all your sites.
Because HBG is licensed in every state we operate, we can move workers between states to meet your project demands. If you need experienced concreters from your Brisbane project redeployed to a Melbourne site, we handle the compliance, licensing, and logistics to make it happen seamlessly.
Compliance
Labour hire licensing is a legal requirement in most Australian states. It exists to protect workers and ensure that labour hire providers meet minimum standards for workplace safety, financial viability, and employment practices.
A labour hire licence confirms that a provider has been assessed by the relevant state regulator and meets all legal requirements to supply workers. This includes demonstrating adequate workers compensation insurance, compliance with workplace health and safety laws, proper employment contracts, correct payment of wages and entitlements, and appropriate tax registrations. Using an unlicensed labour hire provider is an offence in licensed states and can result in significant penalties for both the provider and the host employer.
Harrison Barratt Group holds active labour hire licences in every Australian state that requires one. Below are our current licence numbers and what they cover.
Covers all labour hire operations in NSW under the NSW Labour Hire Licensing Act.
Covers labour hire operations in the ACT under the ACT Labour Hire Licensing Act 2020.
Covers all labour hire operations in QLD under the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2017.
Covers labour hire operations in VIC under the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2018.
Covers labour hire operations in WA under the Employment Agents Act.
